Spinocerebellar tract axons carry sensory information into the cerebellum by the inferior cerebellar peduncle. This peduncle contains afferent and efferent tracts of the cerebellum.

The cerebral peduncles are responsible for learning motor skills, refining motor movements, etc.

The inferior cerebellar peduncle (also called the restiform body) is a thick strand that connects the cerebellum to other parts of the nervous system.
