The answer is D
if the legs are 5 and 4 cm the equation to find the hypotenuse would be 5^2+4^2=c^c
5 squared is 25 and 4 squared is 16 that gives you 41, normally you would square root the 41 but it gives you a decimal number

Answer:

 • 4) √41 cm
 • 5) 8 cm or √514 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

#4

According to Pythagorean:

 • c² = a² + b²
 • c² = 4² + 5² = 16 + 25 = 41
 • c = √41

#5

Two sides are 15 cm and 17 cm

If the third side is hypotenuse, its length is:

 • c = √(15² + 17²) = √514 cm

If the third side is leg, its length is:

 • a = √(17² - 15²) = √64 = 8 cm

The rule is X/5-8=Y What does Y equals to when X=20
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

Y= -4

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the rules of GEMDAS, division precedes subtraction.

Substitute 20 into where X is in the equation, so it would look like:

20/5-8=Y

From here, simplify. 20/5 is 4. 4-8=-4

Here's how work would look like on my paper"

X/5-8=Y

20/5-8=Y

4-8=Y

Y=-4

Which best describes your understanding of theoretical and experimental probability
Lady_Fox [76]
Probability is usually calculated as the number of ways an event has occurred over the overall number of outcome. Theoretical probability is therefore the probability where an event is expected to happen whereas experimental probability is an event that certainly happens.
