Answer:

storing leftover foods at room temperature on a countertop

Explanation:

It may seem obvious, but it never hurts to point out that when it comes to storing perishable foods, the most important rule of all is that they must be refrigerated! Foods kept at room temperature facilitate the proliferation of bacteria. Experts warn of a danger zone between 5ºC and 60ºC.

Therefore, most foods must be outside this range for safe storage to occur. Otherwise there will be proliferation of bacteria that produce toxins as they multiply. So the old maxim that “fire kills everything” no longer applies here.

Which of the following is not a defense mechanism
RUDIKE [14]

Answer:

Panic attack

Explanation:

COMPLETE QUESTION:

Which of the following is not a defense mechanism?

A) Denial

B) Idealization

C)Panic Attack

D)Displacement

Defense mechanism occurs in an unconscious level and done to avoid feelings of anxiety, frustration, or any untoward emotional imbalance. Amoong your choices a panic attack is not a defense mechanism. It is a physiological response to the environment.

Defense mechanisms are supposedly done to "alleviate" the feeling of discomfort. So for example, if you are facing a problem, to avoid it you simply deny you have a problem. This is what we call denial.

Idealization is when you exaggerate the positive attributes of yourself or others to take your mind or other's people view on the negative. For example, you father beats your mother (horrible I know), instead of seeing it as a bad thing, you just say that your father is the man of the house who provides for you so he has the right to blame others and vent out his frustrations.

Another one is displacement, where you vent out on something else because you are unable to do so on your source of frustration. If your boss or your teacher has been yelling at you unjustly all day and you cannot do anything about it, you kick a door instead out of frustration because you cannot go against your suppressor.

A rare condition in which muscle temperature increases faster than core temperature and has symptoms similar to heatstroke is kn
Mrac [35]

Answer:

Malignant hyperthermia

Explanation:

Malignant hyperthermia is a syndrome of genetic origin, where susceptible individuals, when exposed to certain anesthetics (especially inhalers) develop a hypermetabolic condition characterized by increased muscle temperature faster than core temperature. Failure to treat the symptoms immediately can result in death. It was first described in Australia in the year 1960 by Denborough and Lowell, later other cases were described in Wisconsin and Toronto.

Malignant hyperthermia occurs in most cases due to mutation of a calcium channel of skeletal muscles. This mutation may result in exacerbated calcium release in the muscle when some anesthetics are present. This can result in the destruction of skeletal muscle fiber. As there is a high energy consumption, increased CO2 production and rapid increase in body temperature, with biochemical and hematological consequences, there may also be the evolution to irreversible shock and cardiovascular collapse.
