It is argued that climate change will be the most pressing environmental issue in the coming years because
Papessa [141]
The climate change affects many spectrum of human life. In fact, it affects subjects we might not even be aware of, as it is a new situation with unpredictable results.
Nowadays, it is known that the climate change affects on food production, as it changes the natural water cycle - It doesn't always rain when it is expected, and crops and harvesting is affected.
This is just one example. Climate changes affects a whole system that was in harmony. The increase in the planet heat causes the melting of the icebergs, increases sea levels, might be responsible for many natural catastrophes.
For all of these, and much more, it is one of the themes that everyone should care to know more about.
Hope this helps.

Why are solar eclipses separated by one saros cycle not visible from the same location on earth?
Nady [450]

The Saros cycle is 18 years 11 1/3 days. Because of this 1/3 day means that the earth is 8 hours further along in its rotation than it was at the start of that cycle. the area previously facing the sun is now facing away.

Why don't total solar eclipses occur in the same places?

 • When the Moon's shadow falls on the Earth, it causes a solar eclipse. They do not occur every month because the Earth's orbit around the sun does not coincide with the Moon's orbit around the Earth.
 • The total solar eclipse of March 20, 2015 is part of the Saros 120 eclipse family. A Saros series is a collection of eclipses that are separated by 6,585.3 days from the next (or previous) eclipse.
 • This equates to 18 years, 10 days, and 8 hours. The Saros period is unique in that any two eclipses separated by one Saros are very similar.
 • The moon is nearly at the same position in relation to its node (the point at which the moon's orbit intersects Earth's orbit) and is also nearly the same distance from Earth. Furthermore, the eclipse occurs at nearly the same time of year.
 • Three of the moon's orbital periods repeat after one Saros period of 18 years 10.3 days, resulting in these coincidences. The three periods are as follows:

Discuss the approach of high-pressure compressed gas as a method of hydrogen storage
Goryan [66]

Explanation:

Hydrogen is used as fuel in automotives . It yields very high energy on combustion. It has great energy density by weight but poor energy density by volume. This is because Hydrogen is a very light gas, approx. 11 times lighter than normal air. Hence it would require large volume of container to store it at normal atmospheric pressure conditions. That is why it is compressed using external energy to increase its density and decrease the volume needed for storage . So it becomes portable.

Only problem in this approach is that it utilities about 20% energy of the Hydrogen's energy potential to compress it . But this method proves cost effective as it reduces the overall weight of the container and also gives space to vehicles .
