Answer:

B) 40 km West

Explanation:

Let position of B is origin so with respect of City B the position of A is given as

r_A = 30 km south of city B

now Bus starts from City A and travels a distance of 50 km at 37 degree North of East to reach city C

so it is

r_{CA} = 50(cos37\hat i + sin37 \hat j)

r_{CA} = 40\hat i + 30\hat j

now the position of C is given with respect to A

in order to find the position of C with respect to B we can say

r_C = r_{CA} + r_A

r_C = 40\hat i + 30\hat j + (-30 \hat j)

r_C = 40 \hat i

so in order to reach at city B from city C bus has to travel 40 km towards West

What percentage of the takeoff velocity did the plane gain when it reached the midpoint of the runway? a plane accelerates from
ElenaW [278]
When is at the end of the runway the velocity of the plane is given by the equation vf^{2}=0+2*a*s    where s=1800 m is the runway length. Thus
vf^{2}=2*5*1800=18000 (m/s)^{2}
vf =134.164 (m/s)

At half runway the velocity of the plane is
v^{2}=2*5* \frac{1800}{2}=9000 ( \frac{m}{s} )^{2}

v= \sqrt{9000}=94.87 ( \frac{m}{s})

Therefore at midpoint of runway the percentage of takeoff velocity is
‰P= \frac{v}{vf}=  \frac{94.87}{134.164}=0.707

. Starting from a stop at a traffic signal, a car speeds up to 20 m/s in 5 seconds. Calculate the acceleration of the car.
Dimas [21]

Answer: 4m/s²

Explanation:

At stop signal car speed iz 0 ; V1=0m/s

After t=5s  , car has speed is V2=20m/s

using:

a=(V2-V1)/t

a=(20m/s-0m/s)/5s

a=20m/s/5s

a=4m/s²
