The 60s bring popular music as a soundtrack, which had never happened before. There might have been songs written for the film, but the mood was always highlighted by an orchestral score. The 1960s dismantle this practice, placing orchestral music only in certain underlying functions, and then begins the reign of "popular" composers, or those who create both orchestral forms for a few moments as well as soft and captivating melodies, which, like opera, make us leave the theater humming the theme. This is the case of Burt Bacharach, Lalo Schifrin and Henry Mancini.
