Jhumming is called in North-Eastern states of India and in other parts of India it is also known as 'Shifting Cultivation' and 'Slash and Burn Agriculture'. It is known as 'Roca' in Brazil, 'Ladang' in Malaysia and Indonesia and 'Milpa' in Mexico.
