The major flaw in J. J. Thomson's plum pudding model is that it did not

account for the nucleus of the atom.

J.J. Thomson was a scientist and one of the founding fathers of the atomic

model. He proposed that an atom has negatively-charged electrons

embedded in a positively-charged particles thereby balancing the charges.

He called the negatively charged electrons 'plum' and the positively charged

ones 'soup' . This model however didn't take into account atoms having

nucleus which flawed it.
