Answer:

t=6.2days

Step-by-step explanation:

Find a substance half-life in days. round your answer to the nearest tenths

k value=0.1124

N0=33 grams

since the questions says the time it takes for the substance to reduce to half of its size. the initial mass doesn't matter

N=N0e^-kt

N/N0=e^-kt

take laperian log of both sides

Ln(N/N0)=-kt

Ln(0.5)=-0.1124t

-0.693=-0.1124t

t=6.16

t=6.2days

Note: Half life is the time it takes for a radioactive material to reduce to half of its size/mass.

A 33 gram sample has k value of .1124
(Actually I think the problem SHOULD be worded: A 33 gram sample has k value of -.1124/days)

See attached graphic:
Half-Life = ln (.5) / k
Half-Life = -.693147 / -.1124/days
Half-Life =    6.1667882562    days

Based on my little knowledge of statistics
4.
It's 8!/4!= 1680
(the exclamation point is basically the number of probabilities in the combination)
5.
(speculation) It's 10!-6!= 3,628,080
plus
8!-6!=39,600
equals
(3,628,080 + 39,600) / 6! = 5094
(the 6! is the amount of drink combinations you are limited to)
FYI- you can use the exclamation mark on your phone calculator, either swipe to side or press the ''extras'' button

Which is true about the polynomial ?
lisov135 [29]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

y^2 - 3y + 12

It has 3 terms (y^2) and (-3y) and (12)...therefore, it is a trinomial.

The degree of a polynomial with 1 variable is the highest exponent...so it has a degree of 2. But if it had more then 1 variable, it would be different.

answer is : trinomial with a degree of 2

A dairy needs 364 gallons of milk containing 6% butterfat. How many gallons each of milk containing 7% butterfat and milk contai
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be gallons of 7%

Let y be gallons of 3%

364 = x + y

y = 364 - x

364(0.06) = x(0.07) + y(0.03)

364(6) = x(7) + y(3)

364(6) = 7x + 3y

364(6) = 7x + 3(364 - x)

364(6 - 3) = 7x - 3x

364(3) = 4x

x = 273

y = 364 - 273 = 91

273 gallons of 7%

91    gallons of 3%
