Solon 594 B.C, Peisistratus  560 B.C.  and Cleisthenes 507 B.C. all contributed to the development of Athens in positive way as a leader.

  • In Athens, Cleisthenes is called Father of Democracy because he successfully allied himself with the popular Assembly against the nobles and imposed the democratic reform in the City.

  • Peisistratos is the person that funded the religious and artistic programs to improve the Athenia economy and to spread the wealth more equally among the Athenian people.

  • Solon was a statesman that played major role in restructuring of the social and political organisation of Athens, especially the foundations for Athenian democracy.
