What is 3x-2y when x=4 and why equals 2

When you have variables beside numbers that means you have to multiply.
We already know what the variables are equal to the problem becomes very simple.

3 multiplied by 4 is 12
and 2 multiplied by 2 is 4.
So now we have 12 - 4
So  the answer is 8.
