Is there something that's affecting the fish that accounts for why they are washed up? Does the water have polluted items in it so the fish are washed up?
Explanation:
Above I've given 2 answers. These questions could be investigated. For instance, you could follow the scientific method for each of these questions. You could ask a question (already done), Do Research (investigate the body of water and research), Construct a Hypothesis (make a reasonable hypothesis or theory on the topic), Conduct an Experiment (make an experiment such as taking water samples, etc. to prove your hypothesis) Conclusion (conclude your results and gather or sum it up), Share your results (Share it with your fellow classmates or post it on the web for others to replicate). If your hypothesis is not supported, then redo the experiment from there.

This could be testable becuase plution can cause chemicals being released, and debris. Polution is basically trash, so when this trash starts to break down it turns into even smaller pieces, and these pieces can get into fish air ways and block them, or the pieces can be ingested because the fish thought it was food. This then causes issues with the fish because of the chemicals inside the pieces that can cause the fish to die. The pollution can relaese chemicals into the water, and since the chemicals are in the water where the fish are eating, swiming, and breathing it can cause issues resulting in the fish dying.
