s on. In this case, cranking the handle is mechanical energy. The mechanical energy creates magnetic and electrical energy. This type of flashlight contains everything needed to create an electrical current that transforms electrical energy into light. However, it does NOT have one common component of a circuit. Answer:

Option C, A battery

Explanation:

All electrical device need battery as a storage backup but in case of mechanically operated flashlight,  when mechanical force is applied through cranking of handle,  magnetic and electrical energy are produced. Hence the dependency of such mechanically operated electrical device on battery reduces and hence battery is not required in this case.

In most of such devices, the  mechanical force causes a flywheel inside the device to spin which in turn causes the dynamo to operate and hence produce electricity .

Option C is correct.

C. a battery is not needed for the hand cranked flash-light. the power used to generate the light comes from the cranking, so there is no need for a battery.

hope this helps! if you did not understand a step or concept please let me know!

As the minnow population increases in size, how will its rate of growth affect its population density?
irinina [24]
Well as a population grows, resources become scarcer to accommodate for the growing population. So either the Minnows leave to different areas or they fight for the resources. I have finished BIO a few months ago(maybe more idk) so if I’m incorrect I do apologize, but good luck anyway. :)
