The powers of those must be limited otherwise what restricts man from thinking that he is God.  Proverbs 23:7 says "As a man thinks, so he is" (NKJ). If I think I have unlimited power therefore I do.  One example we seen last year was the group busting into the state capitol in Washington.  Our former president Donald Trump declared that his followers loved, honored and obeyed him.  He gave them one command and they did it in true obedience with no fear.  Former President Trump thought he was God and therefore treated as God.  Isaiah 5:21 say "Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight!"  For man to think that he is God means that there is something wrong with his sight. Not just his natural sight but his heart.  Jeremiah 17:9, "The heart is deceitful above all."  You cannot trust your heart unless you have the heart of God.  Without his heart man become puffed up in pride and lustful for power..........
