Faust I hope this holiness will bid us welcome

English

Alexxx [7]2 years ago

The dramatic value in this line is related to the textual style, which represents a story that can assume that there will be friction, as in the opening passage that says:

 • "Faust, I hope this holiness will bid us welcome" (...)
 • "We will be bold" (...)

These verses can indicate a conflict and also allow the text to be re-enacted. Drama is therefore a form of narration that represents the action of individuals.

In the excerpt above, there are the characters Faust, Meph Tut and the narrator in a dialogue with a plot that enables the staging of the story for entertainment.

Therefore, drama is a style with many meanings, and it can also be a narrative like a novel, short story and soap opera where there is conflict or friction.

What are three ways that writers establish credibility in persuasive documents?
VikaD [51]

Answer:

1.) Details

2.) Quirky phrases

3.) Know your audience

Explanation:

1.) If talking about a place people can visit, you can use various details of the scenery and mention all the great perks of going to said place. Explain how relaxing it is, how fun it is. List some facts about it.

Ex: Hawaii has sandy and relaxing beaches with tici bars for refreshments and beautiful waters.

2.) Quirky or catchy phrases often make people want to finish reading or listening to your advertisement. Especially if you use a catchy song or things that people are familiar with.

Ex: Steve Jobs (creator of iPhone) used Apple as his logo and name of the product because he wanted to make sure people would remember it since they were familiar with the said word.

3.) Knowing your audience is very important. Depending on the product or topic of your writing, the document must be directed at who the product is most likely to be popular with.

Ex: Cookware. Cookware would be towards an older audience.

Toys would be towards teens and mostly children.

Electronics are towards anybody depending on what type.

Elanso [62]

In Great Expectations (1861), Pip, the main character of the story, claims that if Magwitch is caught (C) he will be tried and potentially hanged.

Abel Magwitch is an escaped convict that becomes Pip's friend. When Magwitch is arrested, Pip is conscious that Magwitch's fortune will go to the crown after his trial and he wishes the convict to die before he is hanged at the gallows in order for him not to die as an ordinary criminal. He even visits Magwitch, holds his hand throughout his trial, where he is condemned to death, and stands by his side when he dies before being hanged, fulfilling Pip's wish.
