\huge \bf༆ Answer ༄

Let's find the slope (m), considering the two points (9 , -1) and (4 , -11) ~

\boxed{  \boxed{\sf\dfrac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 -x_1 }}}

{ \qquad{ \sf{ \dashrightarrow}}}  \:  \: \sf \: \dfrac{ - 1 - ( - 11)}{9 - 4}

{ \qquad{ \sf{ \dashrightarrow}}}  \:  \: \sf \: \dfrac{ - 1  +  11}{5}

{ \qquad{ \sf{ \dashrightarrow}}}  \:  \: \sf \: \dfrac{   10}{5}

{ \qquad{ \sf{ \dashrightarrow}}}  \:  \: \sf \:2

Therefore, the slope of line passing through given points is ~ 2

Which ordered pairs lie on the graph of the exponential function f(x)=-3^2x+5
Shtirlitz [24]
You don't really know where the x is. The way you have written it, technically its like this. (-3^2)*x and none of the answers agree with that.

It must be -3^(2x) + 5 In that case 0,4 works. That gives (-3)^0 = -1
-1 + 5 = 4
Unfortunately so does 1,-4 because -3^2 = - 9
- 9 + 5 = - 4

If (-2,76) is the answer, then the question should be written (-3)^(2x) - 5

Until the ambiguity is gone, we're not sure.

1. Molly is 5 3/4 feet tall, Her brother Andy is 6 1/6 feet tall. How much taller is Andy than Molly?A:5/12 footB:11 11/12 feetC
PolarNik [594]

Option (A)

Given:

Height of Molly is 5 3/4 feet takk.

Height of Andy is 6 1/6 feet takk.

The objective is to find how much taller is Andy than Molly.

The given equation can be wtitten as,

\begin{gathered} \text{Height of molly is, M=5}\frac{3}{4}\text{ f}eet. \\ \text{Height of andy is, A=6}\frac{1}{6}\text{ f}eet. \end{gathered}

THe difference between their height can be calculated as,

\begin{gathered} d=A-M \\ =6\frac{1}{6}-5\frac{3}{4} \\ =\frac{36+1}{6}-\frac{20+3}{4} \\ =\frac{37}{6}-\frac{23}{4} \\ =\frac{37(4)-23(6)}{6(4)} \\ =\frac{148-138}{24} \\ =\frac{10}{24} \\ =\frac{5}{12}\text{ foot} \end{gathered}

Hence, option (A) is the correct answer.
