<span>The appropriate response is to war. The Cold War was a drawn out time of military rivalry and pressure between the United States and which country is the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union had its foundations in the October Revolution of 1917, when the Bolsheviks, driven by Vladimir Lenin, ousted the Russian Provisional Government which had supplanted Tsar Nicholas II.</span>
Some reasons were that Native Hawaiians were against U.S. annexation, and the controversy of how US marines used force against the Queen Liliuokalani of Hawaii (held her at gunpoint) and also the fact that President Grover Cleveland himself was against annexation.
It was the 19th Amendment that granted women the right to vote. A lot of this had to do with the fact that the Civil War had ended slavery and given lots more rights to blacks, which women found as inspirational.
