We've learned that adding and subtracting decimal numbers, numbers with a decimal point, is just like adding and subtracting whole numbers. The only difference is that we line up the numbers according to the decimal point. For addition, it doesn't matter which number goes on the bottom.

In ARST, r = 1.7 inches, s = 7.3 inches and ZT=15°. Find the length of t, to the nearest
garri49 [273]

Answer:

The answer is "5.7"

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the cosine rule.

\cos T = \frac{r^2+s^2-t^2}{2rs} \\\\t^2= r^2+s^2-2rs \cos T ........(i)\\\\r=1.7\\s=7.3\\T=15\\\\t^2= (1.7)^2+(7.3)^2-2(1.7)(7.3) \cos 15^{\circ} \\\\

   =2.89+53.29-24.82(0.9659)\\\\=32.2064

t= 5.6751 =5.7

The Ratio of boys to girls at a middle school is 3:2. If the school has 400 people how many will be boys?
Mekhanik [1.2K]
You have to divide 400 by 5. That will equal 80. Since the ratio is 3:2 Just multiply 3 by 80 then 2 by 80! :-)

You can check it by simplifying it again.
