<u>coordinates of the point are (2,6) and (3,4)</u>

Answer:

Solution given:

let the given point be A(1,8) and B(4,2).

P and Q are the two points on AB such that

AP=PQ=QB=k

now

comparing AP and PB

AP=k

PB=2k

ratio of AP and PB =\frac{1k}{2k}= ratio 1:2

now

finding p

for this

(m_1,m_2)=(1,2)

For AB

(x_1,y_1)=(1,8)

(x_2,y_2)=(4,2)

now by using division formula

(x,y)=(\frac{m_1x_2+m_2x_1}{m_1+m2},\frac{m_1y_2+m_2y_1}{m_1+m2})

=(\frac{1*4+2*1}{1+2},\frac{1*2+2*8}{1+2})=(2,6)

similarly

Q divides AB

Ratio of AQ and QB =\frac{2k}{1k}= ratio 2:1

(x_1,y_1)=(1,8)

(x_2,y_2)=(4,2)

(m_1,m_2)=(2,1)

by using division formula

(a,b)=(\frac{m_1x_2+m_2x_1}{m_1+m2},\frac{m_1y_2+m_2y_1}{m_1+m2})

=(\frac{2*4+1*1}{2+1},\frac{2*2+1*8}{2+1})=(3,4)

Solve please. 20 points.
Yakvenalex [24]

Answer:

336 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Well theres not exactly a formula, I jsut solve the 3 faces and then double it all since 2 are the same for each except for 1 so the first side is the 10X12 one. that would give you 60 and then you double that and get 120 since 2 same faces.

The next one the 6X13  one is just a sideways rectangle, a=lw and that would be 78. Two faces same side double 78 and get 156.

Now the final side is the bottom which is jsut 10X6. a=lw and that would eqaul 60. No need to double since thats the only side that doesn’t have a duplicate. Add all your result up and you would get

336 cm^2

Answer:

Your business partner is correct.

General Formulas and Concepts:

<u>Stats - Correlations</u>

  • Positive means that it is trending upwards
  • Negative means that is is trending downwards

Step-by-step explanation:

If we were to draw a best line of fit into the scatterplot, we would see that we would get a positive slope and a positive line.

That means the scatterplot will be increasing calories as we increase fat.

Therefore, we would have a positive correlation. The business partner is correct.

Convert the rectangular equation x^2 + y^2 = 2y to polar form
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

c) r= 2sin θ

Step-by-step explanation:

Remember, r=\sqrt{x^2+y^2} \\

therefore,r^2=x^2+y^2

Also y= rsin θ

Given rectangular equation:

x²+y²+ 2y

r²= 2(rsin θ)

r²= 2rsin θ

dividing r from both sides

r= 2sin θ
