Hércules es el héroe más querido de la mitología griega antigua.  

Hércules fue venerado y amado en toda Grecia excepto en Atenas, cuyo héroe era Teseo. Teseo también era fuerte y valiente, pero también un político inteligente y bueno. Teseo era rey, pero Hércules no podía gobernar ningún país porque a menudo no podía gobernarse a sí mismo.  

Hércules no era una persona maliciosa. No solía tener rabia y tenía muchos amigos. Teseo fue uno de los mejores amigos de Hércules, quien repetidamente le brindó ayuda espiritual.
