A successful consensus-building approach is inclusive and involves all participants. Consensus choices can result in higher-quality outcomes, allowing the group or community to go forward and co-create their future. It essentially consists of a participative and collaborative agreement. The group members must be cooperative and trusting of one another in order to develop an agreement. Consensus also contributes to increased group productivity.
