Answer:

On every 12th day

Step-by-step explanation:

You must find the least common multiple of her schedules.

One way to find the LCM of 4 and 6 is to use the division method.

Write your numbers (4 and 6) in the top row of a table. Then keep dividing them by prime numbers until you can divide no more.

\begin{array}{ccc}\mathbf{\div} & \textbf{1st No.} & \textbf{2nd No.}\\\mathbf{2} & 4 & 6\\\mathbf{2} & 2 & 3\\\mathbf{3} & & 1\\\end{array}

The LCM is the product of the numbers in the first column.

LCM = 2 ×3 × 3 = 12

Gabriella will be volunteering for both the hospital and the food pantry on Day 12 and every 12th day afterwards.

The number line below shows that the first time her volunteering coincides is Day 12.

a circle with a radius of 3 has a sector with a central angle of 1/9 pi radians. What is the area of the sector?
Iteru [2.4K]

Answer:

The area of the sector is  \frac{\pi}{2}\ units^2

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1

Find the area of complete circle

A=\pi r^2

we have

r=3\ units

substitute

A=\pi 3^2

A=9\pi\ units^2

step 2

Find the area of the sector

we know that

The area of complete circle subtends a central angle of 2π radians

so

using proportion

Find out the area of a sector by a central angle of 1/9 pi radians

\frac{9\pi}{2\pi}=\frac{x}{\frac{1}{9}\pi} \\\\x=9\pi(\frac{1}{9}\pi})/2\pi\\\\x=\frac{\pi}{2}\ units^2

What is the instataneous rate of change at x=2 of the function f given by f(x)= x^2-2÷x-1
Dima020 [189]

Answer:

4.5

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the instantaneous rate of chance, take the derivative:

f(x) =  {x}^{2}  -  \frac{2}{x}  - 1 \\  \frac{d}{dx} f(x) = 2x +  \frac{2}{ {x}^{2} }

Remember to use power rule:

\frac{d}{dx}  {x}^{a}  = a {x}^{a - 1}

To differentiate -2/x, think of it as:

- 2 {x}^{ - 1}

Then, substitute 2 for x:

2(2) +  \frac{2}{ {2}^{2} }  \\ 4 +  \frac{2}{4}  = 4.5

Excel functions are organized into ____ categories. 8 11 10 13
KonstantinChe [14]

I did a quick search and the web said there are 12 categories! So none of the choices...

"Excel groups functions into 12 categories: Compatibility, Cube, Database, Date and Time, Engineering,Financial, Information, Logical, Lookup & Reference, Math & Trigonometry, Statistical and Text."

There's one other category called "Web functions", mentioned in Microsoft's website.

So the answer is 13.

A point is refected across the x-axis. The new point is (5,-3.5).What is the distance between the two points?
Vesna [10]
When a point is reflected across the x-axis, it's y value is flipped. Here is a formula for your future reference:

X-axis reflection: (x,-y)

Using your given coordinates, you simply plug the numbers in, resulting in final coordinates of (5,3.5).

Because the problem asks for the distance between the two points, you now have to find the difference between -3.5 and 3.5, which is 7.

There you go; the distance between the points is 7 units.
