Answer:

The correct answer would be 3 cm, 4cm, and 5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

To form a triangle we should always remember that a triangle is possible when sum of two smaller sides of the triangle is greater than the largest side.

If smaller sides are a, b and largest side is c

Then a + b > c

Now we take each option given

Option A) 2 cm, 2 cm, 4 cm

2 + 2 = 4 which equal to the largest side so to form a triangle is not possible.

Option B) 3 cm, 5 cm, 10 cm

3 + 5 = 8 < 10 cm

Here sum of smaller sides is less than to the largest side so triangle will not be formed.

Option C. 3 cm, 4 cm, 5 cm

3 + 4 = 7 > 5 cm

Therefore triangle can be formed.

Option D) 4 cm, 8 cm, 15 cm

4 + 8 = 12 < 15 cm

so triangle can not be formed.

Option C is the correct option.

Draw an angle and then draw the opposite ray to one of its sides, to form a linear pair. Find the measure of the angle formed by
NISA [10]

Answer:

(1)155 degrees

(2)135 degrees

(3)105 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the original angle = \theta

Angle Bisector of the original angle = \dfrac{ \theta}{2}

If the other angle forms a linear pair, then:

The other angle, \beta=180^\circ-\theta

Therefore, the measure of the angle formed by the angle bisector of the original angle and the opposite ray is:

\dfrac{ \theta}{2}+180^\circ-\theta\\=180^\circ-\dfrac{ \theta}{2}

(1)If the angle equals 50°

Then the measurement of the required angle

=180^\circ-\dfrac{ 50}{2}\\=180^\circ-25^\circ\\=155^\circ

(2)If the angle equals 90°

Then the measurement of the required angle

=180^\circ-\dfrac{ 90}{2}\\=180^\circ-45^\circ\\=135^\circ

{3)If the angle equals 150°

Then the measurement of the required angle

=180^\circ-\dfrac{ 150}{2}\\=180^\circ-75^\circ\\=105^\circ

See attachment for an example of the graphical solution.
