Third person uses a point of view that only its the readers thoughts like the man in to build a fire all you read in his thoughts so how it affects the story is how you read .
I believe it's primary, because the person was there when it happened.
Because you need to know what you are placing first and last and what is improtant and what is not.least important at the end...
