Katniss fights for the rights of the under privileged and represents them although it comes at a great cost to her and her family. She rejects a life of comfort that the Capitol could offer her and instead chooses to rebel against them because of the injustices they commit on her people and people like her. Hope this helps.

The leadership on the farm is a dictatorship. The pigs have all the power and choose who lives and dies. They also much like the Russian government take everything for themselves and make the people of lesser status do all of the work.
