Imagine you are opening an American history museum. You are creating an exhibit about the cultural changes of the 1920s and you

want to create a compelling visual presentation to get museum goers excited about your exhibit.
Use what you have learned in the lesson to complete a photo story about this period in which you choose five artifacts and demonstrate how they contributed to the atmosphere and culture of the 1920s. Keep in mind that artifacts are human-made objects from a period in history. When you find an artifact, the date in the citation should indicate it is from the 1920s. You should use a variety of artifacts, which can include photographs, video, sound recordings, excerpts from literature of the period, song lyrics, or any other ideas you have about 1920s culture. The five artifacts you choose will help you illustrate the cultural changes of the 1920s.

Out of the five, you must have an artifact for each of the following: Prohibition Harlem Renaissance Fundamentalism New Roles for Women The fifth artifact can be one of your choosing.

The question above wants to analyze your personal ability to search and create a presentation. For that reason, I can't create a presentation for you, but I'll show you how to do it.

First, you should research the 1920s, its cultural impact, and its most important moments. In this research, you must look for and identify objects that represent these moments. These objects will be artifacts and can be videos, interviews, works carried out at the time, posters, among others.

After this survey is complete, you can create your presentation as follows:

  1. Show an introduction to 1920, its importance, and its social impact.
  2. Begin to present the artifacts and how they represent important moments from that era.
  3. Show how these moments are seen today and how these artifacts are important in creating that vision.

It is important to remember that a presentation must contain little text, but it must present visual elements, photos, videos, among others.

How is civil liberties and civil rights different?
MAXImum [283]
Civil liberties are the sorts of things guaranteed to American citizens in the Constitution's Bill of Rights.  I realize that's confusing because it's called the "Bill of Rights" rather than "liberties."  But they are certain liberties or freedoms that are guaranteed to all:  Freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of religion, etc, along with basic rights like the right to a fair trial, the right to vote, etc.  Civil liberties are viewed from the standpoint of all persons equally.

Civil rights pertain to each person's right to operate as an equal in society and not be discriminated against on the basis of race, gender, etc -- in a wider array of situations than just the liberties assured in the Bill of Rights.  For example, the Constitution does not give every person the right to be accepted into college. (That's not a guaranteed civil liberty under the Constitution.)  But if a college is shown to discriminate against you and deny your enrollment because of your race or gender or disability or some other factor, then they have violated your civil rights to equal treatment.
