How does human evolution or natural selection relate to the susceptibility of disease?
Nat2105 [25]
Human evolution or natural selection means that our ancestors of up  to 3 million years ago in their various strains of say australopithecus or even Neanderthal man would be selected to flourish if they could resist disease better than say other strains of homo sapiens. An example of a case where foreign disease wss introduced was when the Spanish conquistadores came to Peru they brought smallpox which decimated the population or in British Columbia it was deliberately introduced to remove resistance to gold mining in the BC interior. The Incas and the BC First Nations simply had no immunity to the disease having had no contact with it before.

Answer:

1. B

2. C

3. A

Explanation:

1. Most of the carbohydrates in the foods you eat are digested and broken down into glucose before entering the bloodstream. Glucose in the blood is taken up into your body's cells and used to produce a fuel molecule called adenosine triphosphate (ATP) through a series of complex processes known as cellular respiration.

2. Fats are known as being a long term energy source, and the fat on your body is used a "cushioning" for your bones.

What happens when a cell<br> grows in size?
Verdich [7]

Answer:

It grows, what else (jk)

Explanation:

As a cell grows bigger, its internal volume enlarges and the cell membrane expands. Unfortunately, the volume increases more rapidly than does the surface area, and so the relative amount of surface area available to pass materials to a unit volume of the cell steadily decreases.

FrozenT [24]

Answer:

many breast cancers have no obvious symptoms at all. When there are no symptoms, breast cancer can be found through a screening mammogram.
