Why did George Washington oppose political parties?
Temka [501]
Washington opposed political parties because he believed they would divide and ultimately tear apart the very newly formed nation. He felt that the driving force behind political parties was that they derailed and shouted down the ideas and opinions of the other party on principle. Washington wanted the new United States to remain a unified country whose citizens supported one another, and he felt political parties would go against this vision completely.

Please help Modern governments often attempt to shape economic conditions in a way that is beneficial to the societies they gove
love history [14]
This is a complex question, but generally I would say that it's true.

For example, they would aim at laws that make economy grow, while keeping fair working rights. They also introduce measures to prevent financial crashes, which are very hard on the societies.Only if goverments are corrupt or not democratic would they not do this.
