These are the key concepts that the speakers should base for developing a speech and also planning how to deliver the speech. Understanding begs the question: “ What is the audience’s knowledge of the subject?”. This guides the speaker to identify the needed information and develop a speech that responds to this need. It makes sure that the speech is interesting and relevant.
