Elizabeth twice hurts her own defense in this scene. First she says she does not have any dolls. Second she wants Abigail dead. Elizabeth was being charged with the stabbing of Abigail by sending out her spirit. So by lyingly saying she didn't have any dolls (the means she used to stab Abigail) and the fact that she indeed did want Abigail dead, she hurt her of defense.
