We have been given that there were 20 speckled hens in each group.

Now, we have been given that each group had half the number of red hens as speckled hens.

Therefore, in each group the number of red hens are

20\times \frac{1}{2} =10

Now, each group had double the number of red hens as white hens.

Number of white hens in each group is

10\times \frac{1}{2} =5

Hence, total number of hens is each group is 20+10+5 = 35

Now, he split them into five equal group.

Therefore, total number of hens the farmer bought is given by

35 \times 5 \\
\\
=175

if a student took a test three times and got 90 all three times, what is the score needed to bring down the average to 88
denis23 [38]

Answer:

83

Step-by-step explanation:

So there us 4 tests 3 of them are 90 to bring down the average to 88 you need to get a low mark. To get to that mark you plus all the 90s together and you add 82 then divide by 400 and times by 100 and that's how to get the answer

KIM [24]

Answer:

Multiply everything by 15 because when you divide 40 from 600 you get 15. We will only use the 2 numbers on the right of both samples. Then find the total of each row

18 turns into 270| 10 truns into 150 =420

19 turns into 285| 7 turns into 105=390

Headline A: Both samples show that over 300 students want to go after 8 am which makes the headline true.

Headline B: 8:30 is actually the most popular start time because both samples show greater amount of students choose 8:30 as the start time than any other time.

Headline C: This statement is not supported by the data, the data shows that 7:45 am is the second most popular selection.

Headline D: This statement is not supported by the data because both samples show that over 100 people chose 9:00.

I hope this is a good answer for you and I hope you have a nice day.

P.S. Please mark me braineast!

Nine more than 3 times a number is the same as 6 less than twice the number
Ludmilka [50]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number = x

3x + 9 = 2x - 6 Looks like you are going to get something negative here.

Subtract 2x from both sides.

3x - 2x + 9 = 2x - 2x - 6

x + 9 = -6

Subtract 9 from both sides.

x + 9 - 9 = - 6 - 9

Combine

x = - 15

A company manufacturer two types of printers, an inkjet printer and a laser printer. The company can make a total of 60 printers
myrzilka [38]

Answer:

30 inkjet printers

30 laser printers

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be inkjet printer

Let y be the laser printer

Total printer produced per day = 60

This implies that x+y = 60

The company has 120 labor hours per day. If it has 1 labor hour to make a inkjet printer and 3 labor hours to make a laser printer, we will have

x + 3y = 120

So we have

x + y = 60 ........(1)

x + 3y = 120 ........(2)

Subtract equation 1 from 2

We have

2y = 60

y = 60/2

y = 30

Put y= 30 into equation 1

x + y = 60

x + 30 = 60

x = 60 -30

x = 30

Therefore we have 30 inkjet printers and 30 laser printer.
