Document 1 Reason 1: The Indian Removal Act of 1830 was endorsed and authorized by President Andrew Jackson. This act empowered the constrained expulsion of Native American Tribes from their all around guaranteed terrains to land west of the Mississippi River. The justification behind this constrained evacuation was to make toward the west extension for Americans simpler.

Document 1 Reason 2: Congress passed the Indian Removal Act of 1830 on the grounds that southern states needed the land that the Choctaw, Cherokee, Creek, Seminole, Wyandot, and Kickapoo claimed.
