You require goggles,masks,and gloves whilst dealing with chemicals, you also require masks,gloves, and a coat while operating a surgery in order to avoid getting sick by any diseases or such, another activity that requires safety equipment is constructing, if a brick or something hard were to fall on your head you'd have a helmet to protect you.The fourth activity I could say requires safety equipment is rock climbing it's the same principal as you would not want to injure yourself.
