these terms are mostly about the early formation of the US and specifically about the role of the federal government, the bill of rights outlines what the federal government cannot violate, Shays rebellion was about the role of the federal government introducing taxes and tariffs, federalism is the idea of how the federal government interacts with state govs, and the separation of powers/checks and balances refers to how power is balanced between the three branches and what limits those powers themselves have.
