The difference between the Social contract theories of both was that Hobbs believed c) that the people could overthrow their ruler if that ruler was abusing their power.

Social Contract according to Locke

 • Government owes citizens the right to protect their property.
 • If a government was not performing, they could be removed from power.

Hobbes on the other hand, believed that the government owed nothing to the citizens and so the people could not remove it even if it wasn't performing.

Question 10 of 20:
valentina_108 [34]

Answer:

C. asteroid is large enough to create a gravitational force that is strong enough.

Explanation:

Basically all celestial bodies are subject to Gravity among them, so the rules of gravity apply for the strongest to the smallest, the strongest attract the weakers into their orbit, so an asteriod can have a moon since a moon it´s just a weaker celestial body with a weaker gravity force that is attracted towards another bigger celestial body. An asteriod just would have to find a celestial body with a weaker gravity force and strong enough to endure traveling alongside the asteriod.

Naily [24]

Answer:

The total land space of the Japanese islands is about 142,000 square miles. As you can see from map 2 and map 3, it is a very small country when compared with the vast Asian mainland, or with the United States, where it is smaller than the single, although large, state of California. It seems even smaller when you realize how little of its land is useful for agriculture or housing, as we will discuss below. China, the United States, and a few other giants of the world are the unusual ones, however. Japan does not seem so small when compared with some of the nations of Western Europe. It is, for example, larger than Italy. (See map 4).
