(9x + 20°) + 7x = 180° { supplementary angles}

or, 9x + 20° + 7x = 180 °

or, 16x = 180° - 20°

or, x = 160°/16

:. x= 10°

Now,

9x + 20° + 2y= 180° { supplementary angles}

or, 9* 10 + 20 + 2y= 180°

or, 110° + 2y= 180°

or, 2y= 180° - 110°

or, y= 70°/2

:. y= 35°

ps: double check everything, I don't have a calculator.
