What are factors that determine the resistance of the rock to denudation
sashaice [31]

Some of it has to do with the hardness of the rock. Sand is normally white or tan because silica is very hard and isn’t broken down easily. Black sands or green sands made of olivine are rare because olivine is softer and the sand gets broken down faster or swept away.

Wind speed.

Ice wedging. In areas without snow, it take longer to break down than areas where water gets frozen in cracks and expands as it cools, breaking up rocks.

Which factors affect a river's load? a. river’s slope c. streambed shape b. volume of flow d. all of the above Please select the
BartSMP [9]

Option D is the correct answer

All of the above

A river slope, volume of flow and shape of its streambed affects the load that a river carries. When a river has a steep slope, its velocity increases and with the increasing velocity rivers load carrying capacity increases. The volume of flow is the amount of water flowing in the river. Thus the larger the volume of flow, the higher is the speed of the river and the higher the speed the larger is the sediment quantity in the flow volume

In a streamlined channel of river, the factor of friction reduces. These friction factors usually reduce the speed of the flow. Now since, the factors are reduced, rivers’ speed increases and thus the quantum of load also increase.
