Using trigonometry (tan equation)

the tan equation is as follows: tan(angle) = opposite/adjacent

adjacent side = 7.7 (adjacent has two angles which lie on the side)
opposite side = x
tan angle = 59

Solving for the opposite side x = tan(59) multiplied by 7.7

x = 12.81 (2 decimal places.)

Answer:

-13 1/2 < -6/8

Step-by-step explanation:

*Any negative in either the numerator or denominator will make the entire fraction negative.

1/2  = .5

-13 1/2 = -13.5

-6/8 = -3/4

-3/4 = -0.75

-6/8 = -0.75

-13 1/2 = -13.5

Which means:

-13 1/2 < -6/8
