Answer 5 days
Explanation:
So you would fist subtract 3,1/4 from 4,1/2

It’s easier if you turn them into improper fractions with common denominators
So 4,2/4 instead of 4,1/2
then turn to improper fraction
18/4
Then 3,1/4 to 13/4
18/4-13/4=5/4
The in would be 5/4 and to divide by 1/4 you would switch and multiply so
5/4•4/1=20/4 which would equal 5
Sorry I explained kinda complicated I didn’t know how to simplify it.

PLEASE HELP!!!<br> Which expressions simplify to a rational answer? Select each correct answer.
Bond [772]

ANSWER

The first three expressions will simplify to a rational answer.

EXPLANATION

Let us simplify the expressions then we can see which of them are rational.

A.

7\sqrt{3} \times \sqrt{3}

We multiply out the roots to get

7\sqrt{3} \times \sqrt{3}=7 \times (\sqrt{3})^2

This simplifies to

7\sqrt{3} \times \sqrt{3}=7 \times 3

7\sqrt{3} \times \sqrt{3}=21

This is a rational number hence the answer is rational.

B.

\sqrt{5} \times \sqrt{5}=(\sqrt{5})^2

\sqrt{5} \times \sqrt{5}=5

This is also a rational solution.

C.

2\sqrt{9} \times \sqrt{4}=2\times3\times2

2\sqrt{9} \times \sqrt{4}=12

This one too is a rational solution.

D.

\sqrt{3} \times \sqrt{16}=\sqrt{3}\times4

\sqrt{3} \times \sqrt{16}=4\sqrt{3}

This is an irrational answer because √3 is an irrational number and multiplying a rational number, 4 by an irrational number results in an irrational number.

The ratio of incomes of two persons is 9:7. The difference in their weekly income is $200. What are their weekly incomes?
irakobra [83]
Let the income of first person be 9x
let the income of the second person be 7x
difference b/w their weekly income=9x-7x=200
=2x=200
x=100
therefore income of first person is 9x=9×100=RS 900
therefore income of second person is 7x=7×100=RS 700
