a) In the picture it looked like a square and if Rutherford street is 1.2 km so is Orchard avenue, and if its a true square it must be 90 degrees so you cut that is half and you get your answer of 45 degrees .

b) It takes Enzo 20 min to walk the shortcut and his walking speed is 6 km/h

you divide 20 by 1.3 or one third and you get 2 so the short cut is 2 km long, and we know Rutherford st. and Orchard ave. is 1.2 km each

2.4 km=length of Rutherford and Orchard together

shortcut is 2 km

divide 2.4 by 0.4 or .4 and you get 6  

so if it takes him 20 min on the shortcut it should save him 8 minutes.
