First, you would have to combine 3 1/2 and 4 3/4 pounds. That would be 8 and 1/4 lbs. If she used all but 1 3/8 lbs, you would have to do 8 1/4 minus 1 3/8. That means she used 7 1/8 lbs of fruit.

The equation would be 3/ 12 + 4 3/4 = 8 1/4 - 1/38 = 7 1/8.

Answer: 3 1/2 + 4 3/4 = x +  1 3/8

There was 6 7/8 pounds of fruit in the salad.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi to answer this question we have to write an equation:

She bought 3 1/2 pounds of oranges and 4 and 3/4 pounds of peaches. Adding both quantities is equal to the amount of fruit used in the salad (x) plus the amount of fruit left.

Mathematically speaking:

3 1/2 + 4 3/4 = x + 1 3/8

Solving for x:

3 2/4 + 4 3/4 = x+ 1 3/8

7 5/4 =x + 1 3/8

7 5/4 - 1 3/8 =x

7 10/8- 1 3/8 =x

6 7/8 =x

Answer:

They provide you with a graph that already has all the numbers and there is a data table. The data table lists all the numbers you have to plot onto the graph.

How to graph: The first number is 27, which is the vehicle weight in hundreds of lbs. On the graph, you can see that on the x-axis, it says weight (in hundreds of lbs). So first, look at the x-axis numbers and find somewhere between 25 and 30 and try to estimate where 27 would be.

Now look at the city MPG value that corresponds to 27, the weight value. It is 25. That's perfect because it is exactly the intervals the graph is in. So find 25 on the y-axis since the y-axis represents the city MPG. Now draw a straight line from the 25 on the y axis to the right. Then, draw a line from the 27 on the x axis straight up and where the two meet is the first point. Obviously, you don't need to make it that complicated if you don't need all the extra steps to understand but it is just in case you don't know how to graph the points.

Repeat for the rest of the points (make sure you use the correct corresponding points). Good luck on your test!

Answer:

Option 1: 1430p + 2200 = -4001

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

1.43p + 2.2 = -4.001

We can replace:

1.43p by 1430p * 10^-3

2.2 by 2200 * 10^-3

-4.001 by -4001* 10^-3

So the equation will become:

1430p * 10^-3 + 2200* 10^-3 = -4001 * 10^-3

Taking  10^-3 common from both side

(1430p + 2200)* 10^-3 = -4001 * 10^-3

Cancelling  10^-3 from both sides we get:

1430p + 2200 = -4001

Find the x-values (if any) at which f is not continuous. Which of the discontinuities are removable? (Enter your answers from sm
uranmaximum [27]

Answer:

  -3 (removable), +5

Step-by-step explanation:

Maybe you have ...

  f(x)=\dfrac{x+3}{x^2-2x-15}=\dfrac{x+3}{(x+3)(x-5)}=\dfrac{1}{x-5}\quad x\ne-3

This will have discontinuities (points where the function is undefined) at ...

  • x = -3
  • x = 5

The discontinuity as x = -3 is removable by defining f(-3) = -1/8.
