Hello,

The answer is "She does not understand algebra".

Reason:

Since she couldn't figure out the lesson on algebra she was going to talk to one of the students about the lesson. Since they all ran out to quickly she has no one to talk to and help her understand the work. (I would ask the teacher) Since that happens she experiencing the problem she does not understand algebra. Therefore thats the answer to this question.

Which are the two strongest appeals used in this passage??
love history [14]

Answer: A. Pathos and logos

In this passage, the speaker uses both pathos, which is an appeal to emotion, and logos, which refers to an appeal based on logic. She first states that because she does not have a license, she cannot drive. This is a logical argument. Afterwards, she states that it is "totally embarrasing" to be driven to the party by her father. In this case, the speaker makes an appeal to pathos, or to emotions.

What is the connotative meaning of this line from Kurt Vonnegut's "Report on the Barnhouse Effect"?
kari74 [83]

Answer: General Barker was in a hurry to get everything ready for the experiment.

Explanation:

A woman preparing Thanksgiving dinner for twenty has lots of dishes to make and has a challenging work on her hand and lots of work to do. Typically, this woman will be in a hurry to get things done and get everything ready in time.

The same thing applies to General Barker. He was in a hurry and rushing as he wanted to get everything set and ready for the experiment that he had.
