When magma solidifies underground, the resulting landform is classified as _______.
galina1969 [7]

Answer:

1. When magma solidifies underground, the resulting landform is classified as <u><em>Intrusive rocks. </em></u>

2. Lava cooling on the surface of the earth forms <u><em>Extrusive igneous rocks </em></u> features.

3. A very large mineral is more likely to be found in <u><em>Igneous</em></u> rock.

4. <u><em>Lava</em></u> is magma that forms in long, horizontal shafts in the earth’s crust.

5. Lava with high basalt content forms <u><em>high ferromagnetism</em></u> through multiple eruptions.

Explanation:

1. Intrusive rock is formed when magma penetrates existing rock, crystallizes and solidifies underground to form intrusions. Intrusive rock forms within Earth's crust from the crystallization of magma.

2. Extrusive igneous rocks form when magma reaches the Earth's surface of a volcano and cools quickly. Most extrusive rocks have small crystals.

3. Igneous rock or magmatic<em> rock</em>, is one of the 3 main rock types. The other 2 are called <em>sedimentary</em> and<em> metamorphic</em>. Igneous rock is formed through the cooling and solidification of magma or lava.

4. Lava is molten rock generated by geothermal energy and expelled through fractures in planetary crust or in an eruption, usually at temperatures from 1.292 to 2.192 °F.

5. Mafic or basaltic lavas are best known by their <em>high ferromagnesian content. </em>

Eruptions associated with basaltic lava usually are <em>not explosive</em> due to the low silica and gas content.

Because of the low viscosity, basaltic lava flows spread out, forming extensive layers. They may build up to form a large shield volcano.

Atmosphere the Earth has had. The atmosphere that we are now breathing is the 3rd 2nd only 5th
Basile [38]

Answer:

It's the 4th, as third is modified by the man.

Explanation:

  • The Third atmosphere was a rearrangement of the plate tectonics and the evolution of atmosphere by the transferring of it to the oceanic basins. As the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere used to be more than 30% around 280 million years ago than the present.
  • Rapid development of land plants and animals was caused due to this atmosphere and hence this atmosphere is now less than 21% and due to his influence or modification of man with his technological tools and techniques.
  • The atmosphere is rapidly shrinking due to the greenhouse effect and global warming that is leading to the fifth atmosphere that may be like that of mars as devoid of gases and barren and dry with oceans running under the crust.

Describe the effect of untreated wastewater on the chemical, physical and biological quality of urban streams or rivers.
aleksklad [387]

Answer:

<u>Waste water is any water that is affected by human use and is combination of all domestic, industrial and agricultural stuff</u>s.

Explanation:

  • It can be also called as the stormwater or surface runoff, or sewer infiltration. This type of water can include the domestic wastes involved in households like toilet flushes, dishwashers, washing machines, and detergents. This type of water in developing countries if often treated with septic tanks, drain fields, and onsite sewage systems.
  • Chemical or physical pollutants include heavy metals, organic and inorganic soluble matter such as urea, gases as hydrogen sulfide, various oxides and toxins of pesticides and methane.
  • Use of micropollutants like plastics, and thermal pollutants like heat energies derived from the power station and industrial manufactures. Certain biological sources of pollutants like Bacteria, Virus, and Protozoa, and parasites like organisms.
  • It can include parasitic like insects, arthropods, and others that reduce the biological oxygen capacity of the freshwater stream and decline in the fish population due to the nutrification of water and contaminants due to the wastewaters.

Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

AD = 8, DC = 15, m\,\angle A = 112^{\circ}, m\,\angle B = 68^{\circ}, m\,\angle C = 112^{\circ}

Explanation:

If the quadrilateral presented in figure is a parallelogram, then the following conditions are satisfied:

AD = BC (1)

AB = DC (2)

m\,\angle D = m\,\angle B (3)

m\,\angle A = m\,\angle C (4)

m\,\angle A + m\,\angle B = 180^{\circ} (5)

m\,\angle C + m\,\angle D = 180^{\circ} (6)

If we know that m\,\angle D = 68^{\circ}, AB = 15 and BC = 8, then we have the following results:

AD = 8, DC = 15, m\,\angle A = 112^{\circ}, m\,\angle B = 68^{\circ}, m\,\angle C = 112^{\circ}
