This reveal the importance of the past, so we as the reader can understand the things happening in the present. ( so if the answer is not right I tried my best to answer it)

A robbery was committed at the local art gallery in Newtown at 1 o'clock this morning. It is believed that three men were involved. It was reported that two paintings were stolen. The curator and some witnesses were interviewed by the police since this morning. No one was caught yet. The paintings were donated to the gallery by Mr. Harris when the gallery opened two years ago. It is hoped that the robbers are caught soon.
