It is impossible to compare Lyft and Uber because Uber operates overseas, and Lyft does

Business

Answer:

Uber is better because Uber at the end of the year Uber brings in more profit than Lyft which mean better job stability and also drivers always get a tip and also Uber keeps most of their profit while Lyft spends some of their profits or revenue on being environmental friendly. While Lyft drivers get more money per ride and Lyft gets a little more money they don't nearly get as much as Uber because Uber get money from all over the world and that means Uber makes way more money. So if you want more money and you care about the environment then go work for Lyft but at the end of the day Uber is better because the job stability is better because the company has more money at the end of the year and also because Uber has more money at the end of the year, you might get a bonus. So I would say Uber is better than Lyft.

Marysya12 [62]

Answer: Debit: Interest expense $9900

Debit: Premium on bonds payable $540

Credit: Cash $10440

Explanation:

First and foremost, the cash payment will be calculated as:

= $174,000 × 12% × 6/12

= $174,000 × 0.12 × 0.5

= $10440

Interest expenses will be calculated as:

= $180000 × 11% × 6/12

= $180000 × 0.11 × 0.5

= $9900

Therefore, the journal entry to record the first interest payment would be:

Debit: Interest expense $9900

Debit: Premium on bonds payable $540

Credit: Cash $10440
