I don't know how long this has to be but here is an example.
It is politically beneficial to target uninformed consumers since it is easier to advertise and make them buy, but on the ethical side I would say it is unethical because you are using someone else's weakness against them to benefit yourself. This is rather selfish because if the consumer is educated, they might look for better options or not get trapped by false advertisement and etc.
