scarcity matters because it means a certain place is overpopulated and havent got enpugh food for the people. Its a shortage of goods and supplies, therefore, making it hard to live in such conditions. Scarcity causes people to have to forage and fend for food sometimes even plummage and steal from others to survive. With scarcity people fight to fend for themselves and their families. Scarcity is vital because having a scarce amount of food and supplies means many people couldnt survive without those neccesities.
