Because many students try to maintain a healthy diet, Alma wants part of her paper to address students who want

C. Chocolate contains many antioxidants.

Why? Because answer A is irrelevant to the idea of being healthy, while caffeine isn’t the best, it’s literally not as bad as things like Sugar, making that segment irrelevant to the topic. Answer B literally is the shortest for a reason… expense doesn’t matter when talking about being healthy.

Answer C is best, because it helps give a POSITIVE aspect to what she’s trying to convey, and if she wants her paper to address something like that, trying to persuade her audience with facts that sound appealing is crucial. “But isn’t A crucial, random person?” Yeah, it’s useful for those limiting caffeine, not those maintaining a healthy diet

Which excerpt from The Odyssey demonstrate the importance of loyalty in Greek society?
grandymaker [24]
The excerpt from "The Odyssey" that best demonstrates the importance of perseverance in Greek society is Odysseus' perseverance, especially the section that involved his wanderings (Books 9-12). Through his courage, determination and strength, he survived. This might be the most difficult test of his perseverance - well, including his loyalty as Calypso's captive.

Why did the ancient Romans call the Mediterranean Sea
”our sea”?
sweet-ann [11.9K]

Answer:

The term mare nostrum was used in the first place by Romans to refer to the Tyrrhenian Sea. This was after they had taken over the countries around it. So they started to use the name mare nostrum for the whole Mediterranean Sea. They used other names as well, such as Mare Internum ("The Internal Sea").

What does John Smith hope to achieve by writing the excerpt from
VikaD [51]

Answer:

I haven't ready that in a while, but I do remember that John Smith referred to himself in third person rather than first in order to make other people see him as a true hero instead of conceited, because in all reality he was actually quite full of himself. He also refers to the Native Americans with much mockery. So perhaps you could say that John Smith wanted to achieve a heroic status in society.
