Reasons why many cases of abuse and violence are not reported
loris [4]
In some cases, sadly, people decide not to report cases of abuse and/or violence for a number of reasons. One good reason would be fear of the abuser. People think that if they rat on the person who was mean to them, then they'll just be even meaner. And too often, this is the case. When a judge hears about it and issues a 'restraining order' (which, to a violent-minded individual, is simply a worthless piece of paper), they could very well blow up and do something tragic.
Another reason is shame. People who have been abused for extended periods of time begin to treat it like it's their own problem that they need to deal with, and they get extremely embarrassed when discussing it with other people.
Hope this helped =)

kirill [66]

Answer:

To be simply put, you can get hepatitis from poisonous or contaminated food or liquid that can affect your body. It can inflame your liver, giving you hepatitis. There are several types of hepatitis caused from specific things and take different amounts of time to cure. If it is very bad, you may need a liver transplant (but remember this is only when it's very bad, and you don't handle it earlier)

If you ate bacon and fried eggs for breakfast, the largest component of the energy would come from the ______.
shtirl [24]

The correct answer is fats.

Bacon and eggs are animal products, which are high in fats, including saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Furthermore, both bacon and fried eggs are fried using fats such as oils or butter, further increasing the amount of fat consumed. While fried eggs and bacon also contain a good amount of protein, the fat content is higher, and thus, the largest component of the energy from bacon and fried eggs would come from fat.
