1/3 or 1/5, which is larger? If you divide 1 by 3 the answer is 0.33 If you divide 1 by 5 it's 0.2. Since 0.33(1/3) is larger that would be the answer.

basically divide the top by the bottom to see which is larger. Then compare the fractions.
